This was a fun read. What I liked most was its "thread". By that I mean I did not have to re-read pages when after I put it down and then came back to it later. It held my "memory" interest of what was going on, which, for me, is becoming more a rarity than I'd like! The story line was cute and funny in parts. The plot takes place largely in D.C., which is important to the theme, which is greed at nauseaum. Our protagonist makes no excuses for what is his line of work. But there are times when he may have wished he'd been more selective in choosing his customers..
I don't re-tell story lines in my reviews, but suffice it to say, character development, especially with the protagonist was well done. He is a likeable fellow. As I say, the book flowed along, without taxing my thinking processes. There was a certain logic to the story, maybe a little scary at times, and possibly more true than we might wish to see. All in all, an enjoyable read.

Capricorn Collapse eBook Michael J Tucker Reviews
Tom Delaney has come a long way in the last eight years. He is living in a nice condo, drives a yellow Jaguar, and is engaged to a lovely lady that would make any man happy. Sure he is an accountant for the mob but other than that his life is fairly normal. Delaney’s seemingly normal life begins to change dramatically when an old flame, Misty Vail, reenters his life. To complicate things even further Delaney finds himself dealing with the IRA, a coke addicted cop, a hermaphrodite running for her life, and the Watergate break-in. Fairly normal escalates into downright dangerous and Delaney will have a hard time fighting his way out.
Having read the first book in this series, Aquarius Falling, I had already become a big fan of Tom Delaney but I wasn’t sure how I felt about Misty Vail. Capricorn’s Collapse has now made me a big fan of her as well. Tom and Misty are characters that are so easy to like and you find yourself hoping they are able to break free of the criminal world that surrounds them. After the first book I let go of the idea of a romantic relationship between Tom and Misty, again though, Capricorn’s Collapse changed that and I found myself hoping they would be able to make it work and find a way to “live happily ever after”. The author does a fantastic job painting a picture of the past with the music, clothes, cars, and the location that you can truly picture yourself standing in the middle of the 1970s. This book is a hit on all levels and Tom and Misty will have you hooked from the start. I really enjoyed this second installment of the Zodiac series and cannot wait to see where the author takes us next.
Fun story intertwined with historical events. It was good to get Misty and Tom back together.
After Aquarius Falling I knew that Capricorns Collapse was to be another thriller and keep me on the edge of my seat. After getting my copy I tried to start reading but found I could not put it down. After the first 20 chapters I had to get to bed. Next day I had to finish. What a twist of events and the intertwining of history into this story of these characters. Now with this finish we have to wonder what is the next story to come out of these individuals that we all can relate to. Mike has done it again!
I bought Capricorn's Collapse to read on the plane but I thought I would read the first chapter to see what it was about. And then I thought I would read just one more chapter and one more chapter - until i had to buy another book to read on the plane. Michael not only made me want to know what happens next, he made me like and care about his characters even while they were doing unwise and immoral things.
I thoroughly enjoyed Mike's second book and he did leave us a tidbit for a possible third book in the series. I love the way he writes, I almost feel as if I am "in" the book, not just reading it. He has a way of drawing you in and not letting go. Great job Mike!!!!
An honest look at criminality which is the characters deal with in different ways. Judgement is left to the reader. Nice mix of interests well told.
Great start to the book, fast and full of intrigue. Character development was good and I was able to empathize with the main protagonist immediately. But as the book went on I felt there was too many different plot line developing simultaneously with no clear differentiation between main plot line and sub-plots. So at the end I was kinda confused and expecting a more complicated culmination of events than what actually happened. Thought the author had a great idea for a story, but did not clearly see an ending and had to figure it out as he went along, so I felt it was lacking some. All in all a good and easy read though and I would attempt to read other books by author.
